Blackpool Visitor Guide
Noted for "fresh air and fun", the north west seaside resort of Blackpool attracts visitors year round.
Blackpool Tower has dominated the town's skyline for over 125 years. Journey 380 feet to the top for stunning views, dare to walk the SkyWalk, visit the 4D cinema or enjoy a drink in Bar 380. At the base of the Tower, take tea or enjoy a regular tea dance to music provided by The Mighty Wurlitzer whilst you admire the famous Tower Ballroom. A visit to the Tower Circus and the Dungeons is fun for all the family.
After a visit to Madame Tussaud's, Sealife, one or all three of the town's piers or the many sea-front amusement arcades, don't miss the Comedy Carpet public art on the Promenade at the front of the Tower featuring the jokes and catchphrases of many British comedians and writers. Further inland, maybe visit Blackpool Zoo
For an action-packed thrilling day out, look no further than the Pleasure Beach combined with a visit to the adjacent Blackpool Pleasure Beach Arena Ice Rink and Dance Studio.
Blackpool is noted for the varied nightlife on offer. Catch a performance at the Grand Theatre, The Winter Gardens or a seasonal pier show.
The famous annual Illuminations run the length of the Promenade and can be seen on foot, but maybe take a tram ride for a less active view.
