Canal Boat Holiday Base Information - Base 37 on the Stourport and Avon Rings
Location
Base 37 is located mid-way between Birmingham and Worcester on the Worcs and Birmingham Canal. It is run by one of the largest boat operators in the UK and is easily accessible by road or rail and is near Birmingham Airport.
Located at the top of the Tardebigge flight of locks, Base 37 offers short breaks to Birmingham, where you can moor at the fashionable Gas Street basin, or to more rural Lapworth. The base lies on the Stourport and Avon Rinmgs and is close to the Black Country Ring.

A superb Circuit taking in the Staffs & Worcs Canal; Worcs & Birmingham Canal and an upper section of the River Severn.
Black Country Ring: 79 locks 45 hours
Take in the splendour of Cannock Chase and cruise all the way to the heart of Birmingham City Centre. Visit Penkridge, Fradley and Old Turn Junction. This is a great one-week Ring and is achievable cruising 6 hours per day.
10/11 night or Two Week Rings
Avon Ring: 130 locks 58 hours
A world famous Ring that contrasts the quiet of the Avon with the locks of the Lickey Hills. Take time to visit the beautiful towns such as Shakespeare's Stratford upon Avon, Worcester with its magnificent cathedral, and Tewkesbury. Time spent on the River Avon costs an extra license fee, which is payable on the River.
