One Week Routes

Shropshire Union Canal (86 locks 55hrs)

Cruise at your leisure through unspoilt countryside, picturesque villages and towns with the historic city of Chester or the boat museum at Ellesmere Port as your turning point. Or if you want a more leisurely week Nantwich and return

Staffs and Worc (South) (66 locks 28hrs)

Heading south, the canal passes through lovely Staffordshire countryside en-route to the historic canal town of Stourport-on-Severn with an array of welcoming pubs and restaurants. A leisurely trip, ideal for novice boaters

Stourport Ring (118 locks 50hrs)

A very pleasant round trip with a little of everything in the way of scenery, with lots to see including Stourport, Worcester and Birmingham. A visit to the Black Country Museum at Tipton or the Sea-Life Centre at Brindley Place is must.

Black Country Ring (79 locks 39hrs)

Another round trip with a difference, mixing Staffordshire countryside with the industry and activity of Birmingham.  Plenty of time for visiting Drayton Manor Park, the Sea-Life Centre or Kingsbury Water Park.

Four Counties Ring (94 locks 55hrs)

Possible for an active crew in one week, but a more leisurely cruise over 10 or 14 nights.

A varied and rural route which is the most popular ring from this base

Caldon Canal (94 locks 60hrs)

One of the most delightful waterways in Britain, providing memorable views as you cruise through on a 10 or 14 night cruise.

Stourbridge Ring inc. Stourport (93 locks 40hrs)

Cruise down to Stourport and back up the Stourbridge canal giving you the opportunity to see the Bonded Warehouse, Glassworks and Museum and the Black Country Museum.

Two Week Routes

Llangollen Canal (100 locks 75hrs)

Cruise to the navigable limit in the welsh hills, the Llangollen combines all the elements of a scenic cruise with the unforgettable splendor of the Chirk and Pontcysyltte Aqueducts

Avon Ring (129 locks 80 hours)

A wealth of interest awaits you on this superb two-week trip.  Down to Stourport along the Severn and up the Avon to Stratford.  You can then choose to return to Birmingham or to add more locks and return via Great Haywood.

(an additional license is required to cruise on the Avon. Not recommended early or late season due to the likely flooding on the rivers.
